One clever street dog has discovered the secret to a free body massage and brushing!
A street dog in Turkey has gotten worldwide attention for taking advantage of an automatic car wash machine to get regular baths and body massages. According to Turkish media, the dog is a regular visitor at the car wash station in Izmir, a city on Turkey’s Aegean coast known as Smyrna in antiquity. In the one-minute clip, the brilliant street dog is seen lining up behind a white car, waiting for the roller to descend. The dog, named Linda, then positions herself under the brush, letting the roller clean her and give her a body massage. Linda's skillful movements prove that this is certainly not her first trip to the car wash!
"Wow, what a clever dog and, above all, a clean street dog," one YouTube user wrote in the comment section of the video. A second user, who obviously does know the dog is a female, wrote: "He was going on a date and wanted to smell nice," to which another user replied: "Or he had a good night out and wanted to freshen up a little before he goes home."
Linda is a German shepherd mix, according to Hurriyet Daily News. She is quite popular in her neighborhood, and people have come to film her getting cleaned. Not all stray dogs are treated well in Turkey, but others, like Linda, are looked after by people in the neighborhood.
