Meet Jack Sparrow, The Dalmatian That Joins Horse Family Because Of Matching Coat Patterns

A Dalmatian and two horses

Today’s story features a 2-year-old Dalmatian dog who believes he is a horse. Jack Sparrow, the Dalmatian is the third wheel in a horse "family", composed of Napoleon, a Shetland pony, and Nevada, an Appaloosa stallion. Jack Sparrow, Napoleon, and Nevada spend their days at the Human & Horse Academy & Hotel in the Netherlands where they formed an inseparable bond with one another.

The touching friendship between the dog and the two horses started because of a coat pattern. Albeit from different species, Jack Sparrow, Napoleon, and Nevada surprisingly have the same coat pattern. Although the two horses aren't blood relatives, they live and act like an actual family, says Greetje Hakvoort, founder of the Human & Horse Hotel in an interview with Just Something

The adorable Dalmatian pup and the two horses spend most of their time together, getting along very well. The unlikely trio are real friends who love to play and run together. According to Hakvoort, Jack Sparrow started to jump towards Napoleon when he saw him for the first because he thought the horse was his family. Immediately, he felt at home with him. While Jack's playful side keeps things fun with Napoleon, his calm nature makes him a great buddy for Nevada.

The Human & Horse Academy & Hotel welcomes every horse owner to enjoy, love, and train with their horse. The establishment, of which Jack Sparrow, Napoleon, and Nevada are ambassadors, prides itself on being a place where people and animals can find peace, relax, and forge new friendships.

The three animals have become more than just friends; they’ve also become a big draw for the hotel, attracting guests who are fascinated by their story, which has made the hotel famous. Greetje Hakvoort, the hotel's owner, looks forward to sharing more about this trio on their Instagram account.
